Best Friends, Sunshine, and Happy Dances
The last two days have been unbelievable. Between the sunshine weather, my brand spankin' new nanny job, and the colossal good news I received yesterday, life is looking pretty fabulous.Despite how my year started off, things have been on the way up. Good news standing, my new year woes may be a thing of my past sooner rather than later. And that alone has me doing backflips. But being in DC for a week left me craving a best friend date with Astrea. So we had a blast at Main Event playing mini golf and arcade games. We looked like complete idiots on the dancing game, and I almost broke my ankle falling off the stupid dance pad. We stopped for Amy's Ice Cream and then decided to spontaneously get our two step on at Wild West. While we didn't really get to dance with any guys, we danced with each other and we did some hardcore people watching. Also, if you've never seen Karma act itself out in person, then you are definitely missing out. Here's the story:So this guy steps off the dance floor and awkwardly invades Astrea's personal space, so I decided to ask him if he wanted to dance. "Hey, you gonna stand here super awkwardly or would you like to dance?" "Uh, I'm just gonna stand here super awkwardly."......Okay then, freak. And a normal person after turning down a girl for a dance would walk away, but NO! He stood there like a total freak. But Karma is a beautiful fantastic creature. Later in the night, the same awkward guy asked a girl to dance and she turned him down SO hard! And the best part is we were standing like two feet away and I busted out laughing when she said no to him and he totally knew we were laughing at him. I only regret not yelling BUSTED! at the top of my lungs. After a great message from the pastor at church and a lazy Sunday with my girls, this has been the best few days since I got back from DC. The only thing that would have made it better is if Austin could have been here to enjoy it with me!
