So many happenings!

When the New Year came, I found myself in an unfortunate situation. One which I thought would be the end of me.But I picked myself up off the floor, with the help of some incredible people for whom I am eternally grateful and thankful, and when my attitude changed, so did everything else.Leaving my job is probably one of the hardest things I will ever have to do, but I realized it is a blessing in disguise, and that it's true what my roommate says: "Everything happens for a reason." As I say goodbye to my kids at work this week, I am sad to wish them well on their journey through childhood. But I have my own adulthood to pursue, so in an effort to keep the sadness at a minimum, I have purchased plane tickets to Washington, DC. In 8 days, I'll be bundled up, exploring DC with one the most amazing people I have ever met. I have also entered into a trial period at a new job, and I'm hopeful it will be a worthwhile opportunity. Starting tomorrow, I will be managing a rental property. It's almost unbelievable that not even two weeks ago, I was so incredibly depressed about the way things were going so far in 2015. And now I have so many wonderful things happening for me. I'm so glad I had some wonderful people to drag me kicking and screaming through the darkness and back into the light.
