#BeSouthwestern

So as school begins again this week, I am completely ecstatic about my classes! ...Not so much for the homework though. I am, however, motivated to do said homework simply because the subjects interest me so intensely. Also, the Communications Department at SU is just so completely, overwhelmingly full of general awesomeness.

But this semester I find myself engulfed in Rhetoric of Civil Rights; Media & Culture; and Critical/Cultural Comm Studies. And even on syllabus day, I leave the classroom with a smile. Also, hearing: "I'm so happy you're back on campus!" just makes my heart melt. SO many wonderful friends and professors have welcomed me back.

The only thing that could possibly bring me down (and sadly, has succeeded to do so) is coming home to find my dogs have destroyed my favorite pair of cowboy boots. I have seemingly lost a piece of my soul, and properly mourned the loss of said boots. And I grieve even further in the discover that Corral no longer makes the specific style of boots to which I once gave my heart and feet.

And so the journey begins: to conquer the semester and find a new pair of boots that will fill the shoes of my beloved pair.

(see what I did there? You're welcome.)
