"You should quit your day job."
Yesterday Chris left the office in his best suit for some special meeting, and I was assigned the role of Internet Technician. In other words, I had to once again climb the ladder of death into the attic. I wish Chris had given me fore warning because I chose to wear a dress. And climbing ladders and crawling around a claustrophobic attic is not exactly my idea of a fun time, and after several hours of pretending like I knew what I was doing, I hadn't yet managed to get the Internet working, but did somehow manage to acquire three new scars.
So, today I opted for shorts and comfy shoes in case I had to go crawling around again. But instead when I showed up, Chris had another assignment for me. Redo all the graphics for a client's website. As enjoyable as that sounds, my eyes were tired from staring at the mac screen only after half an hour.
As I slowly worked my way through the giant graphics and relearned how to use Photoshop, Chris and Schwartz started up a conversation about MG, and the prospects of me drawing a paycheck were promised on the horizon of June.
"Did you hear that Charly? You should quit your day job. I can finally start paying you!" Chris said jokingly.
"Ha!! What day job? This day job? Never!" I sarcastically replied as Chris headed out for the day and I was left to finish my graphics. I left the office dog tired today, but I am very excited about our upcoming projects!
