My Crazy Life

It has been a few weeks since my last post, and boy oh boy has a lot happened in the mean time. So let me catch you up!So if I haven't already made you privy to the horrid living situation that is my current house, then let me tell you all about that real quick. Aside from being called unfortunate names by another resident of the house, I have been rudely awakened from my slumber at all hours of the night for several weeks since I moved in. Not only have I felt completely disrespected, but I don't necessarily feel as safe as one should in their home. So I gave my notice to move out on April 1st and luckily found an apartment to move into. But life is not without speed bumps. The apartment isn't available until the 1st of May and my landlord has refused to return my deposit. So I have to store my stuff for a few days and couch surf with my darling little and fabulous best friend. My old roommate has agreed to keep the dogs for a few days. As far as getting my deposit back, my lawyer has assured me that I am well within my rights to sue him for the deposit, and should the landlord not respond to the nasty demand letter my lawyer typed up, you better believe I am taking him to court.Back in the present, I am preparing for a trip to see Austin in DC again this weekend! I'm so excited to be reunited with my best friend and enjoy a much needed vacation! I bought Austin and I tickets to the Nascar race in Richmond, and Austin tried to schedule a tour of the Pentagon, but unfortunately, they are booked up for several months. Looks like we will have lots of downtime to just hang out and enjoy each other, and that is A-OK with me.I have finally secured my new full-time family as well. My current full-time family will be transitioning to daycare in June, so I must say goodbye to them soon, but my new family has a brand new addition to their family and has asked me to help them keep him safe, happy, and healthy. I have also started with a new part time family. They are wonderful! Two beautiful and darling little girls. I am so incredibly lucky to be a nanny for three wonderful families. It has certainly been quite a busy month, and the next two weeks will be even busier. But I'm so relieved that this dark cloud that overshadowed me at the beginning of the year has since began to dissipate. And with the bluebonnets in full bloom, I am so excited summertime is right around the corner! I am quite looking forward to getting some sunshine back in my life, both physically and figuratively.
